  • About Me: Colby Brown Marron began to create while working at a flower shop in Nashua, New Hampshire, after having been ill for over 15 years from a life threatening condition, Addison's disease. He lived with illegal immigrants from South America for three years, and was inspired to explore the worlds of painting and poetry.

Marron seeks to explore issues of race, gender, economy, science, philosophy, and the shortcomings of Art proliferation in western society. Marron is troubled by the lack of foundation for post-racial archetypes in art and the academic exclusion of artwork based upon its opinionated content or otherwise the recognizability and pan-social status of its materials.

Marron works closely with canvas and acrylic paint, never escaping the portability or universality of his media, and pairs his artwork with a unique form of poetry he invented called "Barrism", a more free form of rap poetry that is founded upon vigorous intellectual heart. Marron is humorous, quirky, off the wall, irreverent, pseudo-sidal and indifferent towards Western visual category. Authenticity strives to surprise rather than conform in his work.
