  • About Me: I have loved animals my whole life. Coupled with my love of animals is my love of drawing that over time has evolved into the detailed real-life portraits of wildlife that I draw today in either mixed media or scratchboard. These mediums enable me to capture the true nature and essence that brings each animal to life. Through paying close attention to the eyes my mission is to communicate that animals are loving and sentient beings just like us.

In 2004 I became a signature member of the Artists For Conservation – host to world-class wildlife and nature artists who’s shared mission is to support wildlife and habitat conservation through their art. Being a member of this organization has provided me with the opportunities and the motivation to do as much as possible to raise awareness of threatened species. The defining moment, however. was when I traveled to the remote jungles of Borneo to witness the awe-inspiring beauty of orangutans and other Indonesian wildlife through NGO Friends of the National Parks Foundation. Inspired by this life-changing trip I founded the “Riding for Rangas” biennial charity bike ride (bike riding is another one of my passions) to raise funds and awareness for FNPF.
I have exhibited in a number of exhibitions including selected exhibitions both locally and abroad as well as exhibitions by invitation to support well-known animal conservation campaigns.
