  • About Me: Born and educated in England, I took art 'O' & 'A' levels at school (A grade) and attended St Albans school of art for a year but my BA (hons) is in Social Anthropology from London University. (1985)
    I was a teacher and writer in Italy for 8 years (1985-1993) and have been living in India since 1993.
    I married an Indian saddhu, and we lived in the Himalayas, running an ashram and bringing up our daughter Maya. I began painting again (after a 20 year break) in 2001. We moved to Goa in 2002 where I have been painting ever since.
    I am a fine artist painting hyper realistic images from nature with a spiritual twist. I paint in watercolour on canvas or paper, liking the translucency so I layer colours, keeping each one adding to the final effect, then add minute details. I expore shadows, light, reflections and the shapes 'in between' to reveal the 'cosmic patterns and spirits' present in everything. Art is my connection to the universe
    I've always chosen the beautiful path, the happy path and this is reflected in my art. I hope my paintings are a window into the nature we are rapidly destroying and will remind people of what we will lose if we do not change our ways.
    I had 3 solo exhibitions in 2011 - in Innsbruck, Austria in May; in Umbria, Italy in June and in Delhi, India in November/December
