  • About Me: Art has been at the core of my life for as long as I can remember. I spent countless hours as a child applying pencil, crayon, and paint to every scrap of paper I could find; and this natural tendency was nurtured by my grandmother, who was a high school art teacher and my kindred spirit. During my formative years she encouraged me to experiment with different techniques and mediums, making every project seem fresh and exciting and magical. Later, as an adult, I tapped into the inspiration my grandmother imparted to me in teaching my own children art, and eventually teaching others as well. Now, with my children growing up and leaving home, I am pursuing a full-time career as a professional artist and art instructor. To view more of my work visit my website www.charlenembrown.com

Thanks for the tit for tat tonight. You have to know that if I can get a world class artist to visit for a while, I shall and be thankful for the experience. But that is it for me tonight. I am tired. Will talk/type again later. Good night.

P.S. Just checked MapQuest. Gas cost is under a hundred. One day of travel lodging is another hundred. Need a two hundred grub stake? I think that is what it is called.

You are welcome. So, when you get here, do I need to shake hands with your husband and then duck, or duck first and then shake hands?

Understood. Have a good T-Day and Christmas. But, have you looked at MapQuest using I40, I25, etc.? You know the best way to get old is to make excuses for why you cannot do it. Talk it over with your husband and/or anyone you choose. In the meanwhile, keep doing what you do and of course feel the pressure I have placed on you.

Hi Charlene,
Thank you so much for the kind comments on my pastel dingo drawing 'Misunderstood'. It's very much appreciated coming from a talented artist like yourself :D

Oh I do understand Charlene. We could not afford to travel to California this year to see our kids. And, you know what, They picked up the ball and came here to see us. Son with his family in the last of May and my daughter and her family just last week. It was delightful all around. Grandkids grow so fast, even faster than your own. So, resources well spend in that direction. Have fun today.

Thank you Charlene. After all we have been through and the contests I have presented you I do wonder why you bother with the continuation. Some times I think it is curiosity, sometimes I think it is confusion, some times it is frustration, sometimes anger as you are the professional while I am not, and sometimes I think it is a furious intent to have the last word. Any way, I also thank your husband for his patience and My wife along with me would love to see you both if ever you choose to have a New Mexico western adventure by visiting us. Bet you didn't expect this kind of response, did you? Come and see the skies I try to paint.
