The Center is looking for images that not only describe how Red looks, but describe what Red mean, how it feels, and who it describes. Thirteenth Annual Peace Arch Park International Sculpture Exhibition

Peace Arch International Park is the Western United States International Gateway to the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Each year, the park’s picturesque landscape and magnificent gardens host family gatherings, picnics, weddings, and annual events of international significance. Over 500,000 visitors tour this international historic site annually. The mission of the international fine arts program is to serve as a catalyst in the development of international fine artists, while creating a greater awareness and appreciation of the Peace Arch and the International Park. A self guided tour brochure featuring the exhibition and park history accompanies the six month long exhibit. Each year, the Peace Arch Park International Sculpture Exhibition is featured in 10,000 16" x 18" full color brochures that are distributed free to the public during the exhibition. read more

Still Point Art Gallery invites submissions from emerging and established artists for its upcoming online exhibition: The Painting Exhibition. Open to artists 18 years of age or older from around the world. Artists must submit pieces that have been painted, but there are many choices for the substance - oils, acrylics, watercolors, etc. – and many choices for the surface – canvas, linen, wood, etc. Submissions must be the creation of the artist. This exhibition is open to all U.S. artists 18+. Original works in all media except audio, video or performance pieces, completed in the last 3 years without supervision and not previously shown in any VAA juried competition. Two-dimensional works must be suitably framed or edge finished and not to exceed 48" in any direction, nor weigh more than 25 pounds. Plexiglas preferred. Artwork must be ready to hang with wire on back, no saw tooth hangers. Wall sculptures not to exceed 25 pounds and must be readily able to hang. No ceiling suspended pieces. Two-Point Perspective, Depth, and Accuracy

Two-point perspectives differ from one-point perspectives in their use of a second vanishing point. They also differ in another way: two-point perspectives never have horizontal lines. All lines except verticals are drawn to a vanishing point. Their are many ways to draw two-points, the best methods being ones we can easily remember and apply to the design process with relative quickness.
